When I was younger, I struggled with sin. I was always angry, proud, selfish, stubborn against God and my parents, and many other sinful things that kept me ensnared in Satan's trap. I couldn't stop doing those things and feeling the feelings of emptiness, depression, and hopelessness that I had because of sin. After eight years of this, I found freedom, love, grace, mercy, and joy. I finally realized that, if I didn't surrender my desires, and repent of my sins, with God's help, I would never be okay. The Bible says that "all have sinned, and fall short of the glory of God", and because of that, we should have the penalty of death. But, Romans 1:16 reminds me that God has the power to save everyone from sin and hell, if they put their trust in Him, and give their lives back to Him. Once you've done that, well, Galatians 2:20, and 2 Corinthians 5:17 explain it perfectly. I encourage you to read those verses. By the way, happy Easter. What a selfless gift God gave to us selfish people. Can you imagine what love God has to have for us to let His only Son die for us - the very ones who made Him have to die that shameful, painful death? Doesn't that make you want to give your life fully to Him, since He's the One who gave it to you in the first place?
