Have you ever been to a restaurant, and it took forever for the food to get to your table, but when you finally got it, it was worth the wait? In Psalm 27:14, the Lord tells us to wait on Him. Now does this mean that we’re supposed to just sit and wait until He appears? No! It means that we’re supposed to patiently wait as He does His work.
We need to pray about everything, in humility, knowing that we don’t know what to do, but He does. When we pray, we need to have faith in His power and omniscience. If we are proud and faithless, who do we think we are, and what are we making God out to be? He’s God! What more is there to say?
We need to never complain, but rejoice in all things, accepting the good and the bad as pieces of God’s perfect plan. As we wait on God, with our hearts fixed on Him alone, He will be our joy, our salvation, our refuge, and our strong tower.
